But hope. Hope is in this home...

Sitting by the warmth of a fire, on the second day of spring, while snow gently falls outside, my thoughts turn to Haiti. And to the hope of spring. Families are the backbone of Haiti. Strong, healthy families are the hope of Haiti. They are the roots of change in Haiti. And those roots gain strength through the safety of home.

In this home, I imagine joy, struggle, fear and hope. Here, in this home, Losama and her family face the tension between safety and bravery, comfort and courage, health and sickness, hope and loss, grief and joy.

Putting our faith in one another, across oceans and cultures, and together putting our trust in God, the roots of change will grow and support a future filled with new hope...and new homes.

“For I know well the plans I have for you, thoughts of peace, to give you a future filled with hope.”Jeremiah 29:11
