As I have loved you, Love one another…

Our theme for week 2 is Love. Saint Teresa of Calcutta tells us “ It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you…yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand.” Take a moment to remember the feelings of Christmas morning as a child…or perhaps a parent or grandparent sharing in the beauty of Christmas with a special someone. Pure Joy and Love, right?! Now think about your smile offered to one of your Haitian friends. Think back to an offer of a hand up as you walked the rocky hillside of Hinche, or a welcoming embrace from a Haitian friend when you arrived at the airport in PAP. Do you feel the joy of Christmas? Today, share that Joy and Love with everyone you meet!

Our Haitian brothers and sisters openly show their love of the Lord…in their voices lifted up to God in beautiful music, in balloons and streamers decorating their worship spaces in celebration of God’s abundance, and with their never ending faith that God will provide. Today, let us remember their faith and let ours grow. - Until our love of God fills our hearts and ours souls.
