Our walk begins...

"What our Lord requires of us is this - to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God." Micah 6:8

A suggested thought: We strive to walk with God...hand in hand and to truly feel His presence in every step along the journey. What does it mean to walk humbly with God? How does it feel to walk with our Haitian brothers and sisters? Not to walk in front of or behind...but side by side. As we begin our walk to Haiti, take time to reflect on this scripture from Micah and how it relates to ministry in Haiti.

Our Haiti connection: We follow the Haitian proverb that says, “The rock in the water doesn’t understand the misery of the rock in the sun.” We work hand-in-hand with the women of AFAL, understanding that they know how to best address the issues they face. We build friendships that will last a lifetime. We don’t say we have been to Haiti, we say “we have friends in Haiti”.
